Mec-Gar magazines are constructed from certified carbon steel and feature a heat treated housing and hi-impact polymer or certified carbon steel
follower and floorplate. The magazine spring is made of high strength type "D" music wire - the strongest available. TIG welding provides additional strength and a seamless finish. To
further complement this package, the surface is specially treated to ensure high corrosion resistance and is available in black oxide or a high luster electroless nickel plating.
Some models of Mec-Gar magazines feature a patented design which uses a unique spring and follower design allowing for additional rounds to be introduced into a compact space on our
new standard 10 round magazines. This patent also allows two additional rounds to be introduced over the standard capacity on our law enforcement magazines, while retaining the
original tube size, keeping the magazine flush fitting.
